Not Your Princess, Not Your Dragon!
A downloadable game for Windows
Submission for GMTK 2023.
Theme: Roles Reversed.
In a land far, far away, our princess and her dragon are living their best lives – laughing, loving, and roasting marshmallows together.
But uh-oh! Enter a clueless prince, armed with a shiny sword and a misguided notion of heroism. He believes he must save the princess from her joyous life and defeat the dragon to prove himself. Little does he know, our princess is far from a damsel in distress!
Immerse yourself in stunning pixel art visuals, accompanied by a delightful soundtrack that will whisk you away into a world of whimsy. It's a game that dares to ask the question: who needs saving when you're already living your best life?
Tutorial:
In "Not Your Princess, Not Your Dragon," the princess and the prince take turns in a fierce battle.
A crossed swords icon marks the attacker, while the defender is adorned with a shield.
After each attack, the roles switch.
Attacks and defenses follow the rock/paper/scissors rule.
Choose the symbol that prevails over your opponent to successfully attack or defend.
A successful attack deducts one health point from the defender, while a successful defense restores one health point.
Use X, C, and V to switch between rock, paper, and scissors.
Press Space to attack as the attacker. Use the arrow keys to move left and right.
